RSU-24 School Choice

Over forty applications were received from parents requesting that their children be allowed to attend a "non-hometown" RSU school in accordance with draft Regional School Unit-24 policy JFBB-Intra-RSU School Choice. On May 4th, however, the RSU24 School Board of Directors rejected the adoption of this policy. This does not impact towns that already have school choice (for example-Franklin has school choice for K-8, or, for townships without a high school).  Those residents will still be able to place your children in the school of your choice within the RSU.

 

The Dr. Charles C. Knowlton School, opened in 1960, will be closing at the end of the 2010 school year.
